PARISH WALK and BBQ

Thanks to all those who came along on Sunday for the walk and the BBQ afterwards. The weather wasn't great for the BBQ but we just managed the walk in the dry!

Megan and Sean

Please pray for Megan and Sean as they look forward to making their First Holy Communion on Sunday 14th June, the Feast of Corpus Christi. Remember also Pat, their Catechist, and their Prayer Sponsors.

Music and Mayhem for Twelfth Night

On Tuesday 6th January we had a very enjoyable evening at Heyshaw Farm, the home of Charmian and Tim Knight. 19 of us gathered for a very varied evening of music including pieces on the piano, flute, mandolin, guitar and tin whistle, a wide variety of songs including some very amusing rounds and ditties, and recitations of stories and poems. A highlight was a rendition of Sisters by 3 members of the Parish who obviously had a cleaning fetish and showed off a side of themselves not witnessed before! Half way through the evening we stopped for a lovely supper provided by everyone. At the end of the evening it was decided that we should have other similar evenings in the future. Hope to see you there!

Pastoral Visit by Bishop Arthur

Bishop Arthur came for his Pastoral visit to the Parish on Sunday 19th October when he celebrated Mass for Mission Sunday. There was a great turn out for the visit, the singing was of the usual uplifting standard and Bishop Arthur was very impressed with Canon Vincent and our parish.
